The 2011 Senior Home International is to be held in South Wales on 22-23 October. The England team will comprise 6 x Men, 6 x Women, 3 x M20 and 3 x W20. The team will be selected using the results of the UK Cup races and Future Champions Cup races from 13 March to 22 May, the Midlands and Northern Championships, and other known form (till 1 July 2011). ‘Sprint’ races will be accorded less importance. The 2011 Interland match is to be held near Lübbecke in Germany on 6 March.
England has competed in this annual polyangular against two Belgian teams (Flemish and French speaking), the Dutch and the Nordrhein-Westfalische (NW Germany) team since 1995 and from last year the French Ligue Nord–Pas de Calais de course d’orientation (LNPCCO) team have joined the competition. We have managed to win each year but the margins recently have been close, especially last year. The competition will thus be a six-cornered match and the 42 person team spans age groups from W and M14 to W and M60+: basically the best one or two of the English in every class.
